I've just finished watching CSI: Grave Danger ...the 2 episode finale of CSI's 5th season, directed by Quentin Tarantino. Oh wow...it was one of the most suspenseful and dramatic "episodes" to come from a TV series. I can't recall the last time I've felt my adrenaline run through my blood thanks to a movie. I'm still whirling from it. <(0_o)>
To summarize the whole story, Nick Stokes gets kidnapped and finds himself trapped in a transparent glass coffin in some unknown place. The CSI team has to race to save him. Sounds like a simple plot, right? Maybe, but it's the way you present the story that counts. And Quentin Tarantino and the CSI production crew did an AWESOME job. First, Quentin played around with one of ppl's worst nightmares (i.e. buried alive) and successfully gave the viewers the chilling point of view inside the coffin. Secondly, George Eads (who plays Nick) did a marvellous job in acting. His screams of terror in the coffin, convulsions of pain, and hysterics towards the end of the show were too nerve-wrecking for me. *tears hair* And finally, just seeing how this affects the rest of CSI members emotionally, just drew me right into the drama. I mean, come on, watching Conrad and Grissom react to this whole mess was priceless.
Now, if you watch CSI just as much as I do, you would have been just as attached to the characters as I am at this point. No doubt, it was pure torture watching this episode. <(>.<)> I was sitting at the edge of my couch, screaming "Nooooo aahhhhh wicked wicked [insert unladylike word]! How could they do this to Nick??!!! Please save him! Nooooooooooooooooo! Hang on there, you can do it! Nick, don't lose it! (0_0)!!!"
Halfway through the show, I seriously wondered whether he would survive at all. ^^;;; Nick is one of the nicest and "normal" guys in the show; you just can't hate him. I felt moved the most when Grissom yelled out "Poncho." <--- if you've watched this episode, you would know the significance of it
Absolutely powerful presentation and gripping story. My kudos to Quentin and the CSI production crew for one of the most "awesomest" CSI episodes ever! I don't know if the later episodes could ever match this one but as far as I'm concerned, I'm a CSI fan forever. <3 <3 <3

CSI -- The Depression Years
"On the House: The Bizarre Killing of Michael Malloy" hit the books shelves this week. It's the true story of a Depression-era drunkard who survived numerous attempts on his life. All except the last one, of course. In an interesting twist, CSI work helped break the case that sent four members of the Murder Trust gang to their execution at Sing Sing prison. The author's web site is www.simon-read.com. Cheers.
